Advanced Manufacturing Laboratory (AMLab) is part of Torrent Innova, the innovation division of Grupo Torrent. It is a space dedicated to advanced manufacturing, where technology and creativity come together to drive new solutions.

Specializing in additive manufacturing (3D printing), AMLab acts as a hub for development, research, and technical support across the organization. From here, new technologies are explored, processes are validated, and applications are developed to deliver real business value.

Our approach is focused on transforming ideas into tangible solutions. We work on designing new products, improving their functionality and efficiency, and optimizing production processes through innovative tools and components.

Research on New Materials

One of our main areas of focus is the research and validation of materials for additive manufacturing. We evaluate materials for both filament-based printing and resin technologies, analyzing their mechanical properties, performance, and application potential.

Our goal is to expand manufacturing capabilities, improve part performance, and provide solutions tailored to the specific requirements of each project.

Mockup Development for Commercial Proposals

At AMLab, we develop high-quality mockups to support commercial proposals for new products. Using resin printing technologies and advanced post-processing and finishing techniques, we achieve highly realistic representations of the final product.

These mockups allow clients to visualize and validate concepts at early stages, facilitating decision-making and enhancing the communication of each proposal’s value.

Continuous Improvement Solutions for Production

The laboratory also plays a key role in the continuous improvement of production processes. We design and manufacture customized solutions that address specific needs identified on the shop floor—whether by optimizing tools, adapting equipment, or improving workflows.

Thanks to additive manufacturing, we can develop and implement solutions quickly, reducing lead times and increasing operational efficiency.

Research & Development (R&D) Projects

AMLab actively participates in research projects aimed at exploring new applications of additive manufacturing and optimizing existing processes.

Current initiatives include the development of resin-printed molds for injection molding, enabling faster design iteration and the production of functional samples at early stages. We also design internal logistics solutions that improve the transport and handling of components within the plant.
